Canon ADF DADF-AY1 An automatic document feeder (ADF) may be a mechanism found on devices like printers,
fax machines, photocopiers, and scanners that feeds multiple sheets of paper into a scanner or copier to repeat,
print, or fax multipage documents during a single operation.
An ADF may be a common feature on most multifunction
or all-in-one printers to assist relieve people from expecting a printing job to finish.
Mechanically, Canon ADF DADF-AY1 operates by guiding a sheet of paper through a series of rollers and into an exit tray.
for instance, on a scanner, rollers guide a sheet over the scanner flatbed or platen to capture the image and send it to your PC. For a printer,
on the opposite hand, an ADF guides paper to the printing heads to supply a physical document.
However, some ADFs are more advanced. They scan each side of a document or process more documents in a fraction of the time.
A reversing automatic document feeder (RADF), for instance, feeds a document through a scanner's platen,
flips it and feeds it through the scanner again to urge a replica of each side of any sheet of paper. |
